testCloud has launched!

testCloud.de  is a Berlin based start-up that provides crowdsourced software testing. Basically, they harness the power of the crowd to test all sorts of software and applications under real conditions with all browsers/operating systems. Check out their video (in German).

Luxury Fashion Trade GmbH acquires Taschenreich

Frederik Fleck’s portfolio company Luxury Fashion Trade GmbH has acquired its German competitor Taschenreich. It will merge the company with its brand Fashionette.

Das Ende 2008 gegründete Start-up Fashionette (www.fashionette.de), ein Online-Verleih für Handtaschen, Abendkleider, Schmuck und Sonnenbrillen, schluckt nach Informationen von deutsche-startups.de den 2006 gestarteten Mitbewerber Taschenreich (www.taschenreich.de). Die entsprechende Domain führt bereits zu Fashionette. Der Online-Handtaschenverleih Taschenreich wurde vor vier Jahren von Isabelle zu Hohenlohe, Stephanie Wolf und Gabriele Kruse ins Leben gerufen. Als der erste deutsche Anbieter in diesem sehr speziellen Segment erfuhr Taschenreich ebenso wie der ebenfalls 2006 gestartete Konkurrent Luxusbabe (www.luxusbabe.de) eine extrem hohe mediale Aufmerksamkeit. Von den unzähligen Erwähnungen und Verlinkungen profitiert künftig Fashionette.

Der Online-Verleih wird von der Luxury Fashion Trade GmbH aus Frankfurt am Main betrieben, die von Sebastian Siebert und Fabio Labriola gegründet wurde. Im vergangenen September investierte Sirius Venture Partners ins das junge Unternehmen. Daneben sind bei Fashionette unter anderem Astutia Ventures, Richmond View Ventures von Frederik Fleck und Ex-Boss-Finanzchef Joachim Reinhardt. Wie zu hören ist, wollen sich die Taschenreich-Macherinnen künftig auf “ihre eigenen Karrieren konzentrieren”.

Fashionette wants to make Fashion Rental – especially the rental of designer accessories like handbags, jewelry and sunglasses – popular in Germany and Europe over the internet and allow fashion victims to wear designer fashion must haves more frequently than before. fashionette-logo

Fashionette is a brand of Luxury Fashion Trade GmbH which was founded in October 2008 by Dr. Sebastian Siebert and Dr. Fabio Labriola (with headquarter in Frankfurt). The target group of Fashionette is between 25 and 45 years old – most of the women belong to the up-and-coming middle-class. The fashion assortment will switch from „pure handbag rental“ to „one-size-fits-all rental“ in 2009 – beside selected young / innovative designers the company will mainly offer TOP-brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada etc.

Frederik Fleck is lead investor of Luxury Fashion Trade GmbH and helps the management team to set-up new sales-partnerships.
